The USN Morse Code Flashing Light (MCFL) mobile application serves as a valuable educational tool for sailors, promoting an efficient and accelerated understanding of Morse Code Flashing Light signals aligned with the U.S. Navy's Visual Communications standards. Effective communication is paramount in ensuring both the safety of maritime navigation and successfully executing military operations. Given the rising threats from adversaries equipped with sophisticated Anti-Access/Area Denial (A2/AD) cyber capabilities, visual communications emerge as a reliable means that is less susceptible to interference or disruption.

This application primarily targets Quartermaster A-School students participating in the Visual Signaling Curriculum, as well as those engaged in QM Training for Watch Standing PQS. Furthermore, it assists fleet sailors in their preparation for SURFOR MOB-N assessments. It is also beneficial for Navy Fleet Quartermasters and any personnel wishing to refine and uphold their Morse code signaling skills, whether on sea or land.
